TriE Medical has developed the SFSystem, a shake/fire system for the testing of metered dose inhalers, to be used as a research tool, formulation device, and to collect regulatory submission data for verification and validation purposes.  The core technology of the shake/fire system involves a controlled shake/fire sequence ranging from 0-5.0 cycles. The SFSystem is completely programmable, which allows the user to create run recipes based on different shake rates, dwell times, and firing positions.

Product Capabilities:
  • Programmable Actuation Stroke Distance
  • Programmable Shake Distance
  • Programmable Firing Positions
  • Programmable Pre/Post Firing Dwell Times
  • User Programmable Shake/Fire Sequence and Dose Release Count
  • Stores and Prints Test Reports
  • Detects and Counts Dose Release

TriE Medicals  SFSystem Model-Nasal may be used for formulation development and also can be used with a laser system  to detect particle size and plume shape at the time of actuation. The system can be adapted for regular MDI cans as well.

The MPP Measurement System (MDI puncture/pressure system) is designed to pierce MDI canisters ranging in diameter from .870 - 1.0 inches, and measure the internal vapor pressure, thus providing users with digital and pressure readouts

The SFSystem Model-SFS1, a shake/fire system for MDI with only one actuator.  The unit may be used for formulation development and also can be used with a laser system  to detect particle size and plume shape at the time of actuation

SFSystem Model-SFS3, a shake/fire system with a horizontal slider, which can be utilized to shake and fire metered dose inhalers into an impactor.
